The iPhone 11 is rated to a maximum depth of 2 metres for up to 30 minutes — the 11 Pro and Pro Max were rated to 4 metres. Later generations went further still. All of those figures are for fresh water, in a laboratory, on a new device.

Soap and chlorine reduce surface tension, which lets liquid penetrate further than plain water would. Apple's own guidance states that water resistance is not a permanent condition and diminishes with normal wear.

No. The frequencies used sit inside the range your speaker already reproduces whenever you play music, and the tool runs at moderate volume rather than maximum. The one genuine caution is earbuds: never run ejection tones into in-ear devices while you are wearing them.
No. Around 70 to 80 percent is the practical sweet spot. Maximum volume on a restricted diaphragm produces distortion rather than more displacement, and adds avoidable stress to the driver.
No — and this matters. The sound has to travel through the blocked speaker to do anything, so any connected Bluetooth or wired device defeats the purpose entirely. Disconnect everything first.
