Water Lock plus its eject function is real and built in. Turning the Digital Crown after a swim plays low frequency tones that push water out of the speaker cavity. iPads have two or four speaker grilles depending on model, positioned along the edges. They are generally less exposed to pocket lint than phones because of how they are carried, and their larger drivers respond to lower frequencies. No — and this matters. The sound has to travel through the blocked speaker to do anything, so any connected Bluetooth or wired device defeats the purpose entirely. Disconnect everything first.
