What to include for a tool problem
If the tool is not producing sound or behaving oddly, the following makes it much faster to diagnose:
- Device make and model
- Operating system version
- Browser and version
- Whether any sound plays at all, or none
- Whether Bluetooth was connected at the time
Corrections
If something on this site is factually wrong, tell us which page and what is incorrect. We will fix it and note the change.
What we cannot do
We are not a repair service and cannot diagnose an individual device remotely. If your speaker shows the symptoms described in when a sound tool won’t help, a local technician is the right next step.
Response times
We read everything sent to us. Corrections and factual errors are prioritised and usually actioned within a few days. General questions may take longer, and we cannot guarantee a reply to every message.
Reporting a factual error
These are the most useful messages we receive. Include the page URL, the specific statement you believe is wrong, and where possible what the correct information is. Corrections are made to the article itself rather than appended as a note.
