Water Lock plus its eject function is a real feature. Turning the Digital Crown after a swim plays a series of low-frequency tones that push water out of the speaker cavity. This is the best-known implementation and it is exactly the mechanism described throughout this site.
Worth stating plainly because a lot of material online implies otherwise. There is no water-eject setting in iOS, no hidden menu, and no Control Centre toggle. A paired Apple Watch's eject function does nothing for the phone. This absence is precisely why a browser-based tone tool has a genuine use case on iPhone.

Immediately, for the speaker itself — liquid that leaves early cannot sit and corrode. Dry the exterior first so you are not pulling surface water inward. The waiting rule applies to charging, not to ejection: never plug in a wet device.
