Perfectly safe. These are ordinary frequencies your speaker already plays during music. The tool never exceeds normal listening levels — it just concentrates the energy at the frequency that moves water best.
iOS has several settings that quietly alter audio output, plus one notable absence that explains why a browser tool is useful here at all.
There is no water-eject feature in iOS. No hidden setting, no Control Centre toggle, no menu. The function
exists on Apple Watch only, and a paired Watch's eject does nothing for the phone. This is worth stating because
a great deal of material online implies otherwise.
The user-gesture requirement
Safari will not produce audio without a deliberate tap. This is an anti-autoplay measure and it catches people
out constantly — a page that appears to be doing nothing is often waiting for the first interaction. Tap the
start control directly.
Accessibility → Audio/Visual → Headphone Accommodations — applies EQ that
alters the waveform.
Accessibility → Audio/Visual → Balance — easy to knock off centre, and a
genuine cause of apparent channel imbalance.
Mono Audio — changes which driver receives what.
Any paired Bluetooth device — turn the radio off in Settings, not Control Centre.
The silent switch
Does not mute media playback, so it is rarely the cause. Media volume is separate from ringer volume though —
start the tone, then press volume up.
Liquid detection
If iOS shows "Liquid Detected in Connector", do not use the override to charge anyway. Wait for it to stop
appearing. MagSafe and Qi wireless charging bypass the port entirely and are safe.
Keeping the tab active
Audio continues when the screen locks, but a browser tab may be suspended if you switch apps. Keep it in the
foreground for the duration of a cycle.

No. The frequencies used sit inside the range your speaker already reproduces whenever you play music, and the tool runs at moderate volume rather than maximum. The one genuine caution is earbuds: never run ejection tones into in-ear devices while you are wearing them.
How long should I run it?
Thirty to sixty seconds per cycle, repeated two or three times with short pauses. Running it continuously for many minutes adds nothing once the accessible liquid is out, and only heats the voice coil.
Should I set volume to maximum?
No. Around 70 to 80 percent is the practical sweet spot. Maximum volume on a restricted diaphragm produces distortion rather than more displacement, and adds avoidable stress to the driver.
Does the rice trick work?
No. Rice is a poor desiccant — open moving air dries a device faster — and its starch dust migrates into the charging port, microphone holes and speaker grille, which can create a second problem on top of the first.
It is still muffled after several tries. Now what?
Stop. If three cycles produce no improvement at all, the cause is not blockage. Check the symptoms on our guide to when a sound tool will not help, and have the device inspected rather than continuing to run cycles.
What this cannot fix
Our tool is great for water and dust, but it cannot fix physically blown speakers or electrical damage.
