A clean, steady low hum. If you hear nothing, either the frequency is outside what your speaker can reproduce, or the audio is routing to a Bluetooth device. If you hear a harsh buzz at moderate volume, the tool is clipping or your speaker has a mechanical problem — either way, stop rather than turning it up.

No. The frequencies used sit inside the range your speaker already reproduces whenever you play music, and the tool runs at moderate volume rather than maximum. The one genuine caution is earbuds: never run ejection tones into in-ear devices while you are wearing them.
No — and this matters. The sound has to travel through the blocked speaker to do anything, so any connected Bluetooth or wired device defeats the purpose entirely. Disconnect everything first.
For maintenance, roughly once a month is plenty. More often if you exercise heavily, work outdoors, or live somewhere humid or dusty. There is no benefit to daily use on a speaker that sounds fine.
