Why is no sound coming from the speaker eject tool?
The most common reasons are that the phone volume is turned down, the phone is in silent or do-not-disturb mode, or the browser audio permissions are blocked. Check that the ringer or media volume is up before running the tool. On iPhones, the physical mute switch on the side of the phone can prevent audio output even when the on-screen volume appears high.
The tool runs but my speaker still sounds muffled. What next?
Run two or three short cycles with the speaker face-down on a dry cloth between each run. If there is no improvement after three cycles, the water may be deeper in the speaker housing than the tone can reach, or the damage may be more than temporary moisture. In that case, passive drying for one to two hours before running the tool again sometimes allows water to migrate to where the tone can push it out.
Could the tool be making my speaker worse?
Running the tool at a reasonable volume, around 60 to 80 percent, does not cause additional damage. Running it at maximum volume while the speaker is saturated with water is not recommended because a wet membrane under maximum load can distort under the stress. If the audio sounds significantly worse than before running the tool, pause and allow 30 minutes of passive drying before trying again.
